At BSA, we are intentionally building a culture rooted in toughness, unity, and resilience. Our players learn to fight for one another and represent something bigger than themselves every time they step on the field.
Our goal and mission go beyond softball. We want every athlete who comes through BSA to leave with lessons they can carry into their daily lives. The field becomes a classroom where players learn a lot, including how to handle situations with success and failure.
Our coaching staff brings a ton of experience and leadership to every practice and game. Together, our staff is united by one mission: to build strong athletes and strong young women prepared to compete at the highest level.
Why BSA?
Our Story
A few years ago, Matt Magallon founded Burbank Baseball Academy in Burbank, California with a vision of strengthening and growing the local baseball community through quality coaching, player development, and a strong team culture. After successfully launching multiple BBA teams across several age divisions, he saw an opportunity to bring that same mission and foundation to the softball community.
In August 2025, Burbank Softball Academy was established. As a new and growing program, BSA was created to provide softball athletes in the Burbank area with a competitive environment focusing on long-term growth both on and off the field.
While Burbank Softball Academy is still in its early stages, the program continues to grow as we work to build a strong and lasting presence within the local softball community. Our goal is to create opportunities for athletes to develop their skills, compete, and become confident leaders beyond the game.
What Type of Players Are We Looking For?
Burbank Softball Academy is looking for dedicated, coachable athletes who are motivated to improve and compete. We value players who demonstrate strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a commitment. Our program seeks athletes who are willing to buy into our culture, learn, support their teammates, and embrace the process of growth both on and off the field. At BSA, effort, character, and commitment are just as important as talent.
